Summit of Mt Niblock
Mt Niblock wasn't to bad after doing Temple a couple of days earlier. Mt Whyte was another
story I found it a little more difficult.
I went with my friend Tony and the Alpine Club of Canada Edmonton Chapter.
We summited both Niblock and Whyte but I'm waiting for pictures of Whyte from my friend.
I don't take enough pictures when I am concentrating ( that is worried about falling or getting beaned with a rock ).
Alot of loose rock on those two mountains.
Mt Becher
21 July 2002
This is a 13 km hike up boston ridge and then up Mt Becher. I did this hike solo.
Learned more about wilderness navigation but for the most part the trail is well marked. This picture was taken just before I was swarmed by thousands of tiny flys.
Mt Whyte down climbing
This mountain was way more difficult than Niblock. I turned back at one point due to the exposure, and the drop off. I then took a different route up and after almost calling it quits 3 times I made it to the summit, with the nice people from the Alpine Club of Canada. My advice to others who would like to scramble this mountain is, get up early before anyone else is on the mountain and get back down before anyone else comes up. The reason I say this is there is loose rock every where and the ascent is steep. You don't want to be under someone if they start rocks falling. Also wear a helmet to protect the old bean.

Plain of Six Glaciers Hike
A great hike that just about anyone can do. There is a tea house on the way up where I ate a peanut butter sandwich and lemonade, but it was the best sandwich and drink I ever had. Just kidding if it helps out the young guys and girls working there I'm glad to pay. The views you get from this trail are a spectacle to behold.
