John Charles Bissonnette
I have been hiking ever since I can remember. I grew up on the east coast of Canada in Nova Scotia. My father an I did many hikes along the Atlantic ocean. In 2001 I was introduced to scrambling in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, by my best friend Tony Detering. We have done many various climbs together. Including our personal best of six mountains in six days ( three of which were over 9000 feet ). I attended an introduction to mountaineering course in Canmore Alberta. My goal is to continue climbing to higher altitudes. My highest elevation achieved to date is 11,624 ft on Mt Temple in Alberta. At this time I am living on Vancouver Island B.C. serving in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Reason For This Site
I enjoy scrambling and hiking very much and would like to meet others who have similar interests.
